BANNOCKBURN
TOUR 2014
This tour has been
specially designed with the co-operation of Chris
Brown to be a factual insight into perhaps the most
important battle in Scottish history; Bannockburn.
The tour is for groups of 12 minimum and above.
The tour will concentrate on The Battle of
Bannockburn and the Life of King Robert The Bruce.

The
prospect has been welcomed by the Scottish
Government and culture minister Mike Russell said a
clan gathering to coincide with the Bannockburn
anniversary would help make it a "fantastic year"
for Scotland, which is hosting the Commonwealth
Games and the Ryder Cup in 2014. Not only
all of these events but, the World Pipe Band
Championships also, on the second Saturday in
August in Glasgow, which we also have a tour to
coincide with.
MCLEANSCOTLAND are right on the
doorstep of Bannockburn and who better to take care
of your travel and accommodations? A GUIDED TOUR

The
Robert the Bruce
Commemoration Trust's long term aim is an
innovative, living history visitor centre in
Dumfriesshire dedicated to Scotland's hero king.
Why Dumfries? Simply because Bruce's quest for
the throne of Scotland started in the town with
the slaying of his cousin, John "The Red" Comyn,
Lord of Badenoch. That single act will provide
the centrepiece for the visitor attraction which
will give a deep insight into not only Bruce's
life story but life in general at the time.

The main contribution of the Friends will be
helping us raise funds to ensure a centre is up
and running although we will welcome any
suggestions and help that is offered sincerely.
