Day 1
Welcome to Ireland!
Arrival at Dublin Airport. Overnight;
Burlington Hotel.
Day 2 The
Royal County collection
of pre booked car. Full Irish
breakfast. Departure to the Royal
County Meath where you could visit
some of world’s most ancient
monuments such as Newgrange (The
Megalithic Passage Tomb at
Newgrange was built about 3200
BC. The kidney shaped mound covers
an area of over one acre and is
surrounded by 97 kerbstones, some of
which are richly decorated with
megalithic art. The 19 metre long
inner passage leads to a cruciform
chamber with a corbelled roof. It is
estimated that the construction of
the Passage Tomb at Newgrange would
have taken a work force of 300 at
least 20 years.) and
Knowth, the Battle of the Boyne
battlefield, the Hill of Tara and
the Heritage Town of Kells.

Day 3 Older
than the Pyramids Full
Irish breakfast. Departure to Tulsk
where we suggest to visit Cruachan
Ai Interpretative Centre to have an
idea about the lay out of the archaelogical area: all around Tulsk
there are over 200 sites older than
Egyptian Pyramids. Continuation to
Westport and overnight;
Wyatt Hotel.
Day 4 Killala
Bay & Ceide Fields Today
you can take a scenic drive in
Killala Bay area and visiting Ceide
Fields, a system of prehistoric
fields which gives a pretty good
idea of life in a bogland during the
Neolitic period. Westport
for overnight.
Day 5
Connemara A scenic drive
will lead you across Connemara. You
can stop at Kylemore Abbey and take
a photo shot of Killary Fjord before
continuing down the Sky Road ending
in Clifden. Continue to Galway, overnight at the Harbour
Hotel.
Day 6 Aran
Islands Full day
excursion to
Inis Mor Island. Drive
to Rossaveal where you can leave
your car for a full day trip. First
ferry depart at about 10.30 and to
come back you can choose between the
4 pm and 5.30 pm. Many minibus tours
start from Kilronan pier and all
include the fort Dun Aonghasa
(shown left)
Overnight in Galway.
Day 7 Galway
and Midlands Depart
Galway after breakfast and we would
suggest a stop in Clonmacnoise, the
ancient monastic settlement built on
the banks of river Shannon. Continue to
Dublin and overnight
at the Burlington Hotel.
Day 8
Goodbye! Full Irish
breakfast. Our services end after
returning your rented car at the
airport. |
