Today you journey to Co Kerry. Along the way you will stop at the world famous Blarney castle, in the charming village of Blarney. Blarney is the site of the 15th C. ruined MacCarthy castle that has the famous "Stone of Eloquence" embedded high in its battlements. If you wish, you may climbs 120 stone steps, lie on your back and lean out backward to kiss MacCarthy's magic Stone, you are guaranteed the "gift of the gab"...it's a long story ! For those opting not to "kiss", you may shop at Blarney Woollen Mills, one of Ireland's best stocked craft and gift shops. This will also be a good opportunity to grab some lunch. On the way in to Killarney your driver will take you on a brief orientation tour of the town, putting out options for the evenings entertainment. Continue to overnight accommodation in KILLARNEY.

DAY 2; Today we will drive you around the Ring of Kerry. On this famous scenic tour the route winds over mountain roads, by sandy beaches, through villages with names translated from the ancient Gaelic language- names like Cahersiveen, Derrynane, Sneem. At Beaufort, your driver will show you the ancient "writing" of Ireland, two-thousand year old Ogham - carved on a group of stone pillars - and you'll drive through Killorglin, where each year since pagan days a Puck goat is crowned as king and reigns over the 3 day "Puck Fair" (August)! Nearby, visit the Dogs on Dingle Bay.. award-winning farmer Brendan Ferris, his 10 breeds of sheep from around the world and his team of dogs at work. An impressive exercise in precision work! (admission charges apply) Near Cahersiveen, beyond Ballinskelligs Bay you'll see the craggy rock-islands known as the Skelligs and your driver/guide will tell you about the 6th C. hermit monks who retreated there carved stone steps to the summit and lived in stone beehive huts, 800 windswept feet above the ocean. You'll drive by Derrynane Estate, near Waterville. It was the home of Daniel O'Connell, the "Liberator".  Education was forbidden to Catholics under the tyrannical Penal Laws so young Daniel was sent to college in France. There he saw the bloodshed of
the French Revolution & was forever afterwards against violence. Using only his legal and oratorical skills he won Catholic emancipation for Ireland in the early 19th c. Almost every town in Ireland has a street named after him Kenmare, nestling at the head of the Kenmare River between two wonderfully scenic peninsulas, is one of Ireland's "Heritage Towns", meaning it receives special funds to preserve & restore its unique ambience & historical buildings. Kenmare was famous for its hand-made lace (Queen Victoria was a customer) a tradition that has been revived. don't forget to visit Kenmare Lace & Design. It's only one of many interesting shops in the town. The Heritage Center (lace making upstairs) is well worth a visit - and don't miss seeing the Druid's Circle...15 giant stones creating a 55 foot circle.. over 3,000 years old! It's just beyond the end of Market Street. Then on over the mountains with spectacular views of Killarney's Three Lakes as you approach the town. Encircling Ireland's highest mountains, the Magillicuddy Reeks, you'll descend from Moll's Gap along the three "Lakes of Killarney" and back into Killarney town. Return to accommodation for overnight KILLARNEY
DAY 3;  Today they could tour the dingle peninsula.
The dingle peninsula is the most westerly point in Ireland. Dún Chaoin, the most westerly settlement on the peninsula, is sometimes jokingly referred
to as "the next parish to America". The Peninsula plays host to a wealth of Irish scenery and culture. Being surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean on all
sides has produced dramatic coastal scenery. While, inland, the rugged Slieve Mish mountain range ( having the second highest mountain in Ireland, Mt Brandon, 952m) feature steep cliffs, corrie lakes and high mountains passes (Connor Pass is Irelands highest mountain pass). The land is greatly enriched by centuries of Irish culture and early Christian architecture archaeological remnants can be seen throughout the area. Inch Beach- This
is a spectacular sand spit that juts out miles into Dingle bay. It was also the sight for the filming of David Lean's classic 1970's film Ryan's Daughter. We would stop here for a quick walk or maybe some refreshments at a restraint located on the water front. From here we would continue on the
coast road past Anascaul through the winding mountain road onto Dingle.  Dingle is a Gaeltacht (Irish Speaking) area. Every year Irish students
travel to the are to immerse themselves in the rich language and culture. In medieval days, Dingle was the principal harbor in County Kerry. Today
Dingle Town is one of the most popular little towns in Ireland with an array of fine restaurants & pubs - a good town for a lunch stop today. The town is a haven for artists and artisans and so has some interesting shopping.  Dun Beg Fort and Beehive Huts- Another example of early settlements in
Ireland, dating back to 500 BC. The huts were built using a similar corbelling method to Gallarus. Features souterrains (underground passages)
between huts. (admission fees apply) Gallarus Oratory - This small oratory is thought to have been built by early Christians as part of an monastic settlement some time between the 6th and 9th century. It was built without mortar using a technique called corbel vaulting. The oratory, shaped like an up turned boat, consists of a low entrance door and a small window to the
back. According to folklore, if a person climbs through the window their soul will be cleansed. Return to KILLARNEY for overnight.
